Inspired by her daughter Ruby and her friends' struggles to find hourly work, getappie.com was born. This platform is designed to bridge the gap between eager young job seekers and employers, making it easier to match skills and availability, and eliminating the frustrations of traditional job boards.

The Inspiration
Becca, a recruiter with 25 years of experience and mom of three teenagers, has always excelled at matching talent with opportunities. She and her daughter Ruby often discussed how the job search and hiring process have evolved, especially for young job seekers. They noticed a gap between employers and eager candidates—youth who want hourly jobs but find job boards limiting, while businesses need reliable, flexible workers.
The Epiphany
Becca realized the disconnect between young job seekers and hourly work in industries like construction, events, restaurants, retail, and services. The current job search engine approach isn't effective, and both sides are missing out on opportunities.
The Solution
Inspired by young people, Becca partnered with technical entrepreneur Ray to create Getappie.com—a platform designed to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.
